May 2007 marks the second anniversary of my tenure at Catwalk Studios, and I can attest that my time spent thrashing about in the Studios has been a non-stop series of fun, wonderful, creative and fulfilling episodes; everything that a workspace ought to be. Great people who are considerate, affable, and founts of always-inspiring wisdom and humor share the spaces of Catwalk. To a person, I recommend and enjoy them all. Chris Schardt sets the tone for all those interpersonal experiences with his own admirable example. He is extraordinary.
I've lived in California for all my sentient life (born in Seattle) and have lived up and down the state, on the coast and well-inland. I graduated with a degree in Economics from UC Santa Barbara in 1971, and worked as a mainframe programmer in the 1980s and 1990s. Like all male Californians, I've done a few IC engine rebuilds, and can match just about anyone, story-for-story, in that regard!
As anyone who looks at my space at Catwalk Studios for about zero-point-one-five seconds will observe, I have many projects encompassing all sorts of material, all happening at the same time. It is a gigantic mess in my own eyes!
Though I have possessed passion for alternate energy devices since the 1970s and continue to work on them and their various stages of completion, my primary focus at present (May 2007) is to produce within (and, exceeding the boundaries of) my modest studio space, the tools and inplements I require to create the products I wish to sell on my website, www.seniorcrossword.com, which will have five items for sale in June 2007. These items will be useful for people helping people with dementia, Alzheimer's, and other memory afflictions.
My picture is a memorable one in which I posed alongside author and humorist Dave Barry at Cody's Books. Graciously, he autographed my copy of his book and addressed it to "My Hero"!
